Golola calls upon government to empower ForteBet, Jude colour solutions

Kick Boxing great Moses Golola has called the Government of Uganda to empower entities that injecting cash into sports development.

Golola who was recognized at Fortebet Real Stars sports monthly awards with a Lifetime achievement award made a call to the government ” this may be a stepping stone towards a rapit development of Ugandan sports industry is n the country.

At the awarding event held  at Lazio Restaurant Kampala on 13th May 2025 Golola remarked “it is sad that people that put much efforts into sports are not recognized by the government, I don’t know whether it understands what is going on in the sports industry, government must come up and support companies like Fortebet and Jude Colours Solutions may be through tax wavouring.”

Awarding Sports people is not just a benefit of the winners but its also empowering the young generation to admire” Golola added

Golola further extended his outcry to the government calling them to upgrade their priority towards sportsmen and the industry at large 

“We are representating the nation, therefore the government must prioritize us, It is sad to see government giving 100 of millions to politicians as a token of appreciation for  the bills passed yet they add little towards the development of the country”

The event had four accolades to hand out with Golola taking the most prestigious one while Lydia Namabiro, Eunice Awori and James Bogere were all winners.

Namabiro was a star as Uganda Lady cranes accomplished the mission to Africa Ragby tier one by six trys contribution.

The National female number 8 won her third accolade from Fortebet Real Stars sports monthly awards beating off competition from teammate Peace Lekuru and William Nkore.

Another winner was Eunice Awori from Kabaddi  sports who guided the national team in the Africa Women’s cup  to qualify for World cup. She beatoff fellow teammates Olivia Nalubega and Nahia Nalwoga.

In Football, the king was James Bogere 17 who was the second best in the Africa Under 17 World cup qualifiers in Morocco.

Bogere score three times and assisted once  to make Uganda qualify to the first world cup in football history.

Bogere saw off Umar Kasumba of Police FC and Samuel Ssekamatte of UPDF FC who both had four goals in the Uganda Premier league in April.
